Peloponnese Named finalist for “Most Desirable Region in Europe” at Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards 2026

The Greek region of Peloponnese has been placed on the shortlist for the “Most Desirable Region in Europe” category of the Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards 2026, one of the travel industry’s most recognised reader‑voted honours. The nomination follows earlier recognitions, including inclusion on Wanderlust’s Good to Go List 2026 and selection by Condé Nast Traveller as a top 2026 destination.

The regional tourism strategy, led by Regional Governor Dimitris Ptochos and Deputy Tourism Officer Thanos Micheloggos, aims to boost international visibility through partnerships with leading travel media. Voting for the awards remains open until 27 October 2026, with winners to be announced at the World Travel Market in London on 4 November.
