Peloponnese Region targets Dutch market with Rotterdam tourism workshop
The Peloponnese Region, through Visit Peloponnese, is inviting municipalities, associations, and tourism organizations to participate in the Greek Tourism Workshop in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on October 29, 2026. Organized by Tourism Media & Events, the event features scheduled B2B meetings designed to help local stakeholders establish partnerships and expand their presence within the Benelux market.
The Netherlands is a vital market for the region. During the first ten months of 2025, Dutch travelers accounted for 8.3% of international arrivals at Kalamata International Airport, totaling approximately 13,900 passengers. This placed the Netherlands as the third largest market for the airport, following the United Kingdom and Germany.
To support local participation, the Peloponnese Region has secured a 50% discount for those registering through Visit Peloponnese, bringing the cost to 500 euros plus VAT. Regional Tourism Vice Governor Thanos Michelongonas stated that the initiative is part of a systematic effort to strengthen the region's presence in high-potential markets.
