Peloponnese unveils themed tourist route based on Christopher Nolan's “Odyssey”

Authorities in Greece's Peloponnese region are planning a new themed tourist route that links locations used in Christopher Nolan's film “Odyssey” with nearby archaeological sites, natural attractions and local gastronomy. The initiative, developed with Marketing Greece, aims to convert the global interest generated by the film into a sustainable and integrated tourism product.

Deputy governor of tourism Tanos Mikelongonas said the route will connect iconic film sites such as Nestor’s Cave, Vojdokilija beach, Almirolakas waterfall, Metoni Castle and Akrokorinth with authentic destinations across the peninsula, including the mountains of Arcadia, the traditional villages of Mani, the vineyards of Nemea and olive‑oil tastings in Mesenia. The film, directed and co‑produced by Christopher Nolan and starring Met Deijmon as Odysseus and En Hathaway as Penelope, premiered on 6 July 2026 in London.
