Pemalang Student Ahmad Al Fian Dies Amid Bullying Allegations

Fourteen‑year‑old Ahmad Al Fian, a student of SMP Negeri 4 Randudongkal in Pemalang, Central Java, died on the night of 2 August 2026 after being hospitalized at RS Mardhatillah Muhammadiyah Randudongkal. His family and local media allege that his death was linked to bullying he experienced during the school's Masa Orientasi Sekolah (MOS) program.

The Satreskrim unit of Polres Pemalang, led by AKP Wildan Umar, opened an investigation. The victim’s body was transferred to a Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team from the Central Java Police for forensic examination, and an autopsy was scheduled for 3 August 2026. Police have interviewed multiple witnesses and are awaiting the autopsy results to determine the exact cause of death. The case remains under active investigation, with authorities emphasizing that no definitive conclusion has been reached yet.
