Pembrokeshire coastal festivals offer free family activities this summer
Saundersfoot SeaFest, held on July 11 in Pembrokeshire, celebrates seaweed, marine life and Welsh coastal cuisine. The day‑long event, organised with Wales Festival of Seaweed, WWF‑UK and local partners and funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, features chef Sam Everton, foraging expert Craig Evans, free workshops, water‑sports sessions and artisan markets, aiming to showcase regenerative ocean farming and local food culture.
Meanwhile, Milford Haven’s waterfront programme runs throughout the summer, highlighted by the three‑day Milford Waterfront Weekender (14‑16 August) with street food and live music. Free family‑friendly activities include outdoor cinema screenings, "Under the Bridge" sessions for teenagers, museum visits, paddle‑board and kayak tours, and indoor exhibitions. The Tŷ Hotel Milford offers complimentary stays for children sharing a family room. Both initiatives seek to boost tourism and community engagement along Wales’ coast.
