Pembrokeshire County Council approves two rural development schemes
Pembrokeshire County Council's planning committee unanimously approved two separate applications at its June 30 meeting. The first, submitted by Dave and Mayu Phillips, grants permission for a One Planet Development scheme at Walnut Grove near Jeffreyston. The plan includes a low‑impact dwelling, expansion of an existing honey business, walnut cultivation, horticulture, and small‑scale livestock such as guinea pigs, rabbits and pigeons, with projected annual income of £13,450‑£16,850.
The second application, from Dewslake Camping Limited, allows the conversion of the main barn on Dewslake Farm in Lamphey into facilities for camping, glamping, dining and event support. The upgraded barn will provide inclusive catering areas, sanitary facilities, office space and wheelchair parking, supporting the farm's ongoing outdoor festivals and tourism activities.
