Pemex awards 1,945 million pesos in direct health contracts to Atlantis
Pemex has awarded direct contracts totaling 1,945 million pesos to Atlantis Operadora de Servicios de Salud for second-level health services. These awards, granted between September 30 and October 1, follow Pemex's decision to declare nearly all related bidding processes void just two weeks prior due to a lack of viable offers.
While Atlantis was previously only considered viable for general medicine services in earlier bids, the new direct adjudications cover a broad range of medical needs through the end of 2027, including emergencies, hospitalization, laboratory work, radiology, specialties, and hemodialysis. The company is linked to principal partner Luis Guillermo Nieto Vera and legal representative Mario Eduardo Vilchis Guerrero.
In a separate move on October 2, Pemex also utilized direct adjudication to award contracts worth up to 1,794 million pesos to Farmacias Pitic and Farmacias El Fénix for the supply of medications, citing an inability to find other providers through standard bidding processes. Since 2023, Atlantis has secured at least 9,239 million pesos in various contracts.
