Pemex blacklists 13 Aguascalientes gas stations for refusing diesel price cap

Pemex released a list of 13 gasoline stations in the state of Aguascalientes that have not joined the voluntary agreement to keep diesel prices below 27 pesos per litre nationwide (25.39 pesos at the border). The program, backed by President Claudia Sheinbaum’s administration, uses tax incentives, reduced electronic‑payment fees and logistic support to stabilize fuel costs for transporters, industry, hospitals and farmers. Approximately 80 % of Mexico’s stations have already signed up.

The non‑compliant stations are located in the municipalities of Aguascalientes (seven stations), Jesús María (three), Rincón de Romos (two) and El Llano (one). Pemex identified each station by name and permit number, noting that participation is voluntary and that some operators claim the capped price is financially unsustainable.

The government urged the remaining stations to join the scheme to maintain competitive pricing and protect families, promising continued market monitoring.
