CFE addresses power supply in Baja California Sur and expands infrastructure in Ciudad Juárez

In Baja California Sur, the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) met with state and municipal authorities to address recent power outages. CFE officials attributed the interruptions primarily to technical failures, such as a bank switch malfunction that affected multiple circuits and a substation. To prevent future outages, CFE proposed a winter tree-trimming campaign, noting that 80% of interruptions are linked to vegetation obstructing lines. Officials are also evaluating the construction of new substations to meet growing energy demand.

In Ciudad Juárez, the municipal government approved the donation of a 9,342-square-meter plot to CFE Distribución. This land will be used to construct a new electrical substation, representing an investment of approximately 69.7 million pesos. The project aims to strengthen the city's energy infrastructure to support ongoing residential, industrial, and commercial growth.
