Turkey academic cycle begins with YKS results and registration

Turkey is entering a major academic transition period following the announcement of the 2026 YKS placement results. ÖSYM President Bayram Ali Ersoy confirmed that students can access their results online, with university registration periods set for August 24–28, including electronic registration via e-Devlet from August 24–26.

Various educational and social support measures are being implemented. Ceyhan Municipality has announced a 10,000 TL education support for needy students enrolling in state universities for the first time. Additionally, Anadolu University has released its 2026-2027 AÖF registration calendar, and KYK dormitory applications are scheduled to begin on August 25.

For civil service aspirants, the 2026 KPSS exam cycle is also active. The KPSS Undergraduate General Ability-General Culture exam is scheduled for September 6, 2026, with field knowledge exams following in mid-September. Meanwhile, Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University reported high enrollment, attracting 5,769 students from 79 different provinces.
