Pendine Park announces £15m care home in Wrexham

Pendine Park, a major residential and nursing care provider in North Wales, has announced plans for a new £15 million care home near Wrexham. The 77-bed facility, named Pen-y-Don, will be situated on a 12-acre site and is designed to address the growing demand for dementia care.

The facility will utilize advanced technology, including artificial intelligence and radar movement monitors, and will be organized into small, family-sized units for eight to 10 residents. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027, with an expected completion time of approximately 15 months.

The project is expected to create more than 200 new jobs, bringing Pendine Park’s total workforce to over 1,000 employees and increasing its total capacity to more than 500 beds.
