Pendulum horror film teaser features Joseph Gordon-Levitt

The official teaser for Pendulum, the directorial debut of writer-director Mark Heyman, has been released. The horror film stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Phoebe Dynevor as a married couple, Patrick and Abigail, who travel to a new-age retreat in New Mexico to seek healing following a traumatic event.

As the story progresses, Patrick grows increasingly distrustful of the retreat’s enigmatic leader, played by Jacki Weaver, while Abigail becomes deeply influenced by the group. The film explores themes of paranoia and whether the spiritual practices of the retreat offer genuine recovery or hide a terrifying reality. The production is produced by Darren Aronofsky, with whom Heyman previously collaborated on Black Swan.

Additional cast members include Anna Deavere Smith, Jena Malone, and Norman Reedus. Pendulum is scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release on January 1, 2027.
