Arenal Sound Festival in Burriana proceeds amid nearby wildfire concerns

The Arenal Sound music festival in Burriana, Castellón, is scheduled for July 30–August 2, drawing around 60,000 attendees each day. The line‑up features artists such as Myke Towers, María Becerra, JC Reyes, Dimitri Vegas, Ana Mena and many others.

Organisers and local authorities are closely monitoring the Vall d'Uixó wildfire in the nearby Sierra de Espadán. Emergency and Interior Councilor Juan Carlos Valderrama said the festival has its own safety plan and constant liaison with the emergency department, adding, "si hubiera alguna circunstancia, la trasladaríamos a los organizadores," and that the event will continue if conditions allow.

The decision to proceed will depend on weather forecasts, wind direction and smoke impact, with the municipality prepared to adjust or cancel if the fire threatens public safety.
