Penedo to receive new access to Dr. Hélio Nogueira Lopes Bridge

The Bom Jesus Junction in Penedo, Alagoas, will receive infrastructure improvements to create a new access point to the Dr. Hélio Nogueira Lopes Bridge. This bridge serves as a vital link between Penedo and Neópolis, Sergipe.

During a visit to the municipality, Minister of Transport George Santoro and DNIT regional superintendent André Paes evaluated a proposal presented by Mayor Ronaldo Lopes. The new access route is intended to complement the original project and improve local mobility.

Work is expected to begin in September following agreements with DNIT and the responsible construction firm. Officials noted that this alternative access could accelerate the delivery of the structure, as it does not depend on the immediate completion of the full 14-kilometer original project scope.
