Penelope Plaka describes difficult travel journey to Leipsos

Greek actress Penelope Plaka shared her experiences regarding a highly difficult travel journey via social media while attempting to reach the island of Leipsos for her summer holidays.

Plaka described a marathon of travel starting at 4:00 AM following professional commitments in Crete. Her itinerary involved traveling from Crete to Athens, returning home to collect vacation luggage, and then heading back to the airport for a flight to Kos.

During the trip, she encountered several setbacks, including significant delays with her luggage in Kos and difficulty finding taxis. Plaka characterized the experience as the ‘most difficult flight of my life,’ noting an unspecified incident occurred during the flight that she chose not to disclose. She eventually secured transport via a small vessel to reach her destination.
