Penguin International wins first Singapore Navy prime contract
Penguin International Limited has secured its first naval prime contract from the Ministry of Defence of Singapore. The shipbuilder will design, engineer, and construct two landing craft for the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN).
This marks the company’s inaugural naval shipbuilding program as a prime contractor in its 50-year history. The project will be executed entirely in Singapore, utilizing Penguin’s in-house engineering and production assets at its Tuas shipyard.
While the specific contract value remains confidential, Penguin expects the project to contribute positively to its revenue and earnings starting from FY2027. Previously, the company had worked with the RSN as a subcontractor.
