Penitentes Park in Mendoza reopens after seven years, offers free ski day
After more than seven years of inactivity, the Penitentes Park ski resort in the province of Mendoza, Argentina, reopened its doors. To mark the relaunch, the complex will host a free‑access ski and snowboard day on Saturday, 8 August, for local residents. Limited‑capacity tickets must be collected in advance at the commercial office on Las Heras 578 in the city of Mendoza.
During the event the Pircas chairlift, the Baby Lift and the Borers will operate, and visitors can also enjoy an after‑ski party with live music, a traditional torch‑run at sunset, a panoramic walk, a sled track and full food‑service facilities. The free‑day initiative aims to re‑establish Penitentes as a key winter‑tourism destination in the region.
