Penélope Cruz reunites with Javier Bardem in new thriller ‘Búnker’

Spanish actors Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem have reunited on screen for the first time in eight years in the suspense thriller ‘Búnker’, directed by Florian Zeller. During the London Film Festival, Cruz noted that the project was “irresistible” and that the desire to work together outweighed any hesitation.

Additionally, Cruz is promoting the queer drama ‘La Bola Negra’, directed by the duo Los Javis. Cruz expressed her commitment to LGBTQ+ storytelling, stating that her decision to participate was based on being part of something “meaningful” rather than the size of her role. The film has already garnered significant attention, including a long standing ovation at Cannes.

Cruz’s appearances at the festival have also drawn attention for her fashion choices, ranging from archival Ralph Lauren tailoring to Chanel ensembles during BAFTA previews.
