The Penn State Nittany Lions field hockey team defeated the Villanova Wildcats 2-0 at the Penn State Field Hockey Complex. This victory marks Penn State’s second win and second consecutive shutout of the 2026 season.

Senior captain Natalie Freeman led the Nittany Lions with five shots and three points. Joji Purdy scored a goal off a penalty corner, marking her second consecutive game with a score. Assists were provided by Freeman, sophomore Lara Pyle, and newcomer Sienna Dunn.

Goalkeeper Aby Deverka recorded a season-high four saves, maintaining a clean sheet. Penn State outshot Villanova 13-10 and held a 4-3 advantage in penalty corners.
