Regarding the team's health, Campbell reported no major long-term injuries. Safety Jeremiah Cooper is nearing a full return from an ACL tear and expects to be ready for the season opener against Marshall on September 5. Tight end Gabe Burkle and linebacker Alex Tatsch are also progressing toward readiness, while defensive tackle Armstrong Nnodim has returned to practice looking healthy. Defensive tackle Dallas Vakalahi is expected to miss approximately one week due to a minor injury.
