Penn State football sees roster shifts and player medical recovery
Penn State football faces roster changes involving two former Iowa State transfers. Running back Hayes, who previously played for Penn State before transferring to Nebraska, has been dismissed from the Nebraska roster prior to the start of the season.
In a separate development, Penn State quarterback Alex Manske is returning to the field following life-saving open-heart surgery. After arriving at Penn State, Manske underwent medical testing that revealed a dilated aortic root and a dilated ascending aorta. He underwent surgery on March 16 and completed a month of cardiac rehabilitation before returning to football activities.
