Penn State Legends Make Sporting News All‑Decade College Football Teams
Sporting News announced its 2026 College Football All‑Decade All‑America Teams, selecting five former Penn State Nittany Lions. Tight end Ted Kwalick, a two‑time All‑American from the 1960s who finished fourth in Heisman voting and is a College Football Hall of Fame inductee, was honored. Offensive lineman Sean Farrell, a consensus All‑American from the early 1980s who helped Penn State to back‑to‑back Fiesta Bowl victories, also made the list.
The other honorees are linebackers Shane Conlan (mid‑1980s) and LaVar Arrington (late‑1990s), both College Football Hall of Famers and award winners, and running back Saquon Barkley, the program’s most prolific offensive player of the 2010s. The selections span more than five decades of Penn State football excellence.
