Penn State opens new football exhibit at Beaver Stadium

Penn State University has opened a new football exhibit within the All-Sports Museum at Beaver Stadium. The installation features a recreation of Joe Paterno’s office and serves as a comprehensive historical archive for the football program.

Visitors can access digital databases containing information on former captains, coaches, and All-Americans. The exhibit includes touch-screen technology for viewing archival interviews and videos of significant program moments, as well as an immersive room designed to simulate the experience of a ‘White Out’ game. The project was curated by a committee including Brad ‘Spider’ Caldwell, Tom Venturino, Sarah Higgins, and Tom Lutz.

The inclusion of Paterno’s office has drawn media attention and debate regarding the legacy of the former coach. Discussions surrounding the exhibit touch upon the evolving perception of Paterno and the broader cultural shifts within college football over the last decade.
