Penn State soccer sees men's loss to Pitt and women's milestone win

In recent collegiate soccer action, the Penn State men’s and women’s programs experienced contrasting results. The men’s soccer team fell 2-1 to rival Pitt at Jeffery Field. Pitt took an early lead via a penalty kick from Caden Grabfeld, and although Amadou Kone equalized for the Nittany Lions following a shot by Peter Doran, Pitt secured the victory. The loss brings the Penn State men’s record to 1-2 for the season.

Conversely, the No. 23 Penn State women’s soccer team secured a dominant 5-0 victory over Bucknell. The win marked a significant milestone for head coach Erica Dambach, who earned her 300th career victory at Penn State. Dambach, who has led the program since 2007, has amassed a record of 300-98-29 during her tenure, including an NCAA Tournament Title and multiple Big Ten championships.
