Pennsylvania Federal Courts Hand Down Prison Sentences in Armed Robbery and Drug Trafficking Cases

A Philadelphia man, Mujahid Davis, 24, was sentenced to 11 years in federal prison for participating in a series of armed robberies and attempted robberies targeting Brinks armored trucks in the Philadelphia region in 2025. The sentencing, imposed by U.S. District Judge Gail A. Weilheimer, includes five years of supervised release and $134,000 in restitution. Davis pleaded guilty to multiple Hobbs Act robbery counts and a firearms charge, admitting to stealing $122,225 from Brinks.

In a separate case, Darion Ethridge, 26, of North Braddock pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and heroin after a 2021 bust in Monroeville that recovered 991 baggies of the drugs and a stolen .40‑caliber handgun. He faces an expected sentence of 7½ years in prison, to be imposed by U.S. District Judge William S. Stickman IV. The investigation involved the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office and Monroeville police.

Both cases illustrate ongoing federal prosecution of violent crime and large‑scale drug trafficking in Pennsylvania.
