Pennsylvania fires damage reserve center and residential home

Two separate fires caused significant property damage in Pennsylvania on Friday, though no injuries were reported in either incident.

A four-alarm fire struck the Danville Armed Forces Reserve Center in Montour County. The blaze reportedly began around 11 a.m. when roofers accidentally ignited materials while replacing a section of the roof. Flames spread through insulation and roofing materials, causing significant damage to the roof and water damage to the building. Volunteers from 17 different departments responded to the scene.

In Sunbury, a fast-moving fire heavily damaged a large three-story residence in the 1100 block of Market Street. Emergency crews responded to the call around 4:40 p.m. Initial reports indicated the fire started in the kitchen. While the rear of the home sustained extensive flame damage, all residents escaped the building safely.
