Penny Lancaster lends vintage wedding dress to son's girlfriend

Penny Lancaster has lent a vintage wedding dress to Mell-Nicole Ratto, the girlfriend of her son, Alastair Stewart. The backless, silver and white decorated mini-dress was originally worn by Lancaster in August 2007 for her wedding dinner in London, following her marriage to Rod Stewart in Italy.

Ratto, a 22-year-old student at the University of California, San Diego, shared photographs of herself wearing the garment while on holiday in Spain. Lancaster commented on the social media posts, noting that Ratto looked beautiful but adding that the dress no longer fits her.

The gesture highlights the close relationship between Ratto and the Stewart family. Alastair Stewart, 20, is the eldest son of Lancaster and Rod Stewart.
