Peníscola Music Festival announces rescheduled piromusical spectacle

The Peníscola International Festival of Ancient and Baroque Music has announced that its traditional piromusical spectacle will take place on the night of Friday, October 9.

Originally scheduled for August 2 at North Beach, the event was postponed as a gesture of solidarity with the municipalities in the Serra d’Espadà region affected by recent forest fires. The organizers, including the Institut Valencià de Cultura, the Diputació de Castelló, and the Peníscola City Council, intend for the spectacle to serve as a tribute to the firefighters, security forces, and civil personnel who fought the summer fires.

The show, produced by Pirotècnia Tomás, will feature a musical selection including works by Claudio Monteverdi, Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Friedrich Händel, and Antonio Vivaldi. The performance is set to begin at 23:59 in the setting of the Castell de Peníscola.
