Pension Increases Unveiled in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia
In the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, July pension payments will rise, with the lowest pension increasing from 666 KM to 706 KM and the guaranteed pension from 842 KM to 892 KM. The Federal Pension and Disability Insurance Fund warned that while the new semi‑annual adjustments boost payouts, contributions from active workers are falling, raising concerns about long‑term sustainability.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced that his tenure is nearing its end and promised a sizable pension increase that will take effect before January, with measures to be presented in November‑December. He also mentioned plans to start domestic production of humanoid robots, claiming the factories will outperform those in China.
