Pentagon establishes secret agency to sabotage rival technologies

The Pentagon has created a new, secretive entity known as the Technology Support Office (TSO) to covertly disrupt the technological advancements of foreign adversaries. Established in April 2026, the agency aims to protect American military superiority by developing sophisticated cyberattack tools and planning deceptive operations.

According to investigations, the TSO was formed by merging two existing secret programs that had been conducting smaller-scale operations since 2023. The initiative was reportedly led by Deputy Secretary of Defense Steve Feinberg and advisor Tom Rakusan, a former CIA official.

One specific tactic mentioned involves deceptive operations designed to trick adversaries into installing defective components within their own weapons systems. While official budget details remain classified, former intelligence officials suggest that secret contracts for the agency could exceed $1.5 billion.
