K-pop group Pentagon has released the single ‘Coward’ to commemorate the tenth anniversary of their debut in October 2016. The track features seven of the group's original members: Jinho, Hui, Hongseok, Shinwon, Yeon One, Kino, and Wooseok.
Co-composed and produced by member Kino through his label Naked Inc., the song explores themes of hesitation and finding the courage to reunite with someone from the past. The project reportedly took nearly two years to complete due to the complexities of coordinating schedules and contract agreements, as the members are currently signed to different agencies.
According to member Hongseok, the group faced significant logistical challenges, including securing trademark rights for the Pentagon name and managing individual project commitments while attempting to maintain a cohesive group identity.
