Pentagon releases new declassified UAP videos and documents

The U.S. Department of Defense has published a third tranche of declassified material on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP). The release, posted on the official Pentagon website, includes 53 documents, ten photographs and six videos sourced from agencies such as the CIA, FBI, NASA and the Defense Department. The materials describe several recent sightings of luminous red or plasma‑like spheres that hovered, moved silently in formation and sometimes merged, at heights of up to eight metres. Specific incidents cited include a July 2025 observation in the northeastern United States where two red spheres, each about one metre in diameter, drifted westward before joining, and a March 2022 event where two bright red objects hovered about 750 m apart, appearing to rotate. The FBI considers the witnesses credible, and the reports are part of an ongoing effort to increase transparency about UAP encounters.

The Pentagon says the new disclosures fulfill a presidential directive to make more UAP information publicly available, aiming to reduce speculation and address any potential security concerns.
