Pentarama Merdeka@HOHO promotes patriotism in Kuala Lumpur

The Pentarama Merdeka@HOHO program, organized by the Malaysian Information Department (JAPEN), recently held events across Kuala Lumpur to foster national spirit. The program included patriotic song performances and the distribution of the Jalur Gemilang flag at several key locations, including Dataran Merdeka, Sungei Wang Plaza, and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

Erwin Khairul Ahmad, Director General of JAPEN, noted that the public response was impressive, with many citizens joining in to sing and wave flags despite there being no specific invitations to the event. The initiative utilizes an entertainment and information-based approach to convey messages regarding National Day and Malaysia Day, aiming to instill a sense of patriotism that lasts beyond the official August 31st celebrations.
