Pentedattilo revitalized through international urban art festival

The historic village of Pentedattilo in Calabria is undergoing a cultural revitalization through the “Rianimare Pentedattilo” project. Running from August 18 to 30, the initiative features the international urban art festival “Tra le mani di pietra,” directed by Boris Veliz.

As part of the festival, international and Italian artists are creating seven murals across the village, including works on private homes and the Ostello della Gioventù. The artistic themes focus on Memory, Tragedy, Migration, Nature, and the Future, aiming to establish a permanent cultural heritage. The program also includes musical and poetic events, such as a performance by Peppe Toscano and the group “Legatura.”
