Penteli Municipality Committee discusses local infrastructure and education

The Penteli Municipal Committee held its 39th regular in-person meeting on October 27, 2026, to address several local administrative and infrastructure matters.

Key decisions included the unanimous approval of funding for the maintenance and supervision of swimming pools at the Melissia Inter-municipal Sports Center. The committee also approved the renewal of fixed advances for the Nea Penteli Junior High School and the Melissia Lyceum, as well as the return of fixed advances for two primary schools within the municipality.

Regarding infrastructure, the committee approved a study for the development of an unpopulated road in Nea Penteli and a study for the maintenance and partial restoration of the Penteli municipal road network, including a direct award for the work. Additionally, new traffic regulations were approved for the installation of vertical 'STOP' signage at the intersections of Mantineia with Mavromichali and Gladstonos streets, as well as at the intersection of S. Kalkanoura with Penteli Avenue.
