Pentimele Hill tree-planting campaign launched in Reggio Calabria

Local associations in Reggio Calabria have launched a tree-planting campaign on Pentimele Hill to combat climate change and provide shade against rising temperatures. The initiative, described as a ‘green drop’ that aims to expand beyond Italy, seeks to transform the 430-hectare area into one of the largest urban parks in the country.

Representatives from Lions International, CAI Aspromonte, and the association Incontriamoci Sempre ODV participated in a site visit to the hill, which sits at an altitude of 400 meters. The project aims to raise environmental awareness and address the heat issues affecting local citizens.
