People's Party candidates in Valladolid and Toledo campaign for upcoming elections

Candidates for the People's Party (PP) in Valladolid and Toledo have launched pre-campaign efforts ahead of the November 29 elections.

Jesús Julio Carnero, the Mayor of Valladolid, confirmed his candidacy for the Senate. He emphasized that the Senate is a vital institution for territorial representation, essential for defending local interests such as railway undergrounding projects and combating depopulation. Carnero stated that Valladolid must be defended from Madrid to ensure its needs are met.

In Toledo, Carlos Velázquez, the provincial PP president and candidate for the Congress of Deputies, called for high voter turnout. He urged citizens to vote in mass to secure a “serious and responsible government.” Velázquez highlighted the need to recover infrastructure projects that he claims have been stalled by the current administration and stressed the importance of the upcoming vote for the country's democratic future.
