People's Party leader visits flood-hit areas in Bangkok and Chanthaburi

Natthaphong Ruengpanyawut, leader of the People's Party, has been visiting flood-affected areas in both Bangkok and Chanthaburi to monitor the situation and provide aid to residents.

In Bangkok's Kheha Rom Klao area, Natthaphong noted structural issues in the city's disaster response. He observed that while Bangkok has significant resources, it lacks the localized, decentralized management seen in provincial areas, where local administrative organizations play a more active role in coordinating relief. He urged the government and Bangkok authorities to communicate more transparently with citizens regarding water drainage limitations and timelines for relief.

In Chanthaburi, Natthaphong visited Nong Si Nga to observe the impact of heavy rainfall. He noted that while the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation has issued high-level warnings, the provincial governor has yet to officially declare the area a disaster zone. He called for urgent coordination between agencies to ensure timely assistance for affected residents as heavy rains continue in the eastern and western regions of Thailand.
