People's Party replaces lead lawyer in judicial cases against PSOE
The People's Party (PP) has removed its head of legal counsel, Alberto Durán, from leading major judicial cases against the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE). Durán had previously led popular accusations in high-profile matters involving former Minister José Luis Ábalos and David Sánchez. He is being replaced by criminal lawyer Henry Feltenstein.
In a related development within the Leire case, former Socialist leader Gaspar Zarrías has filed a motion with Judge Santiago Pedraz. Zarrías supports the interrogation of commission agent Víctor de Aldama regarding the delivery of cash at the PSOE headquarters in Ferraz. The motion aims to demonstrate that there is no criminal organization linked to Zarrías or lawyer Leticia de la Hoz, countering allegations of bribery and corruption involving the party's structures.
