Pep Guardiola calls for Gaza solidarity in UNRWA video

Pep Guardiola, the former Manchester City manager, has released a video message in support of UNRWA, calling for international solidarity with the Palestinian people. In his address, Guardiola criticized the dehumanization of victims in Gaza, arguing that people should not be reduced to mere statistics or described as ‘collateral damage.’ He emphasized that those killed are individuals with names, families, and dreams.

Guardiola highlighted the severe humanitarian crisis, noting that over 74,000 people have been killed in Gaza and that Israel continues to obstruct the entry of essential humanitarian aid. He also drew attention to the ongoing destruction of Palestinian homes and forced displacements in the West Bank.

Addressing the psychological impact of the conflict, Guardiola warned that the international community risks losing its humanity by accepting language that obscures suffering. He stated that ‘silence today is a way of taking sides’ and urged the world to remain engaged and support UNRWA’s long-standing efforts to provide aid, education, and protection to Palestinian refugees.
