PEPE and Shiba Inu holder growth signals possible price rebound
The number of wallets holding the memecoins PEPE and Shiba Inu (SHIB) has risen modestly. PEPE added more than 1,500 addresses in two weeks, bringing total holders to about 553,446, while SHIB holders increased from 1.583 million to 1.585 million. Whales dominate supply, controlling roughly 90% of PEPE’s market cap and 95% of SHIB’s, yet they represent less than 0.1% of all holders. Smaller holders (sharks) control a few percent of the supply.
Technical charts show both tokens breaking descending resistance levels and trending toward breakout zones. PEPE is trading near $0.00000371, with support from the Ichimoku Cloud, while SHIB’s selling pressure has dropped sharply, indicating a potential price retest. Over the past month, trading volume across memecoins rose 26%, exceeding $3 billion, and monthly active addresses grew about 7%.
Analysts suggest that the steady increase in holders and improving technical signals could precede a rebound for these popular memecoins, though the broader market cap remains well below fully diluted values.
