Pepe Chedraui leads closing of Transparency Week 2026 in Puebla
Pepe Chedraui, the municipal president of Puebla, led the closing ceremonies of the 2026 Transparency Week. The event aimed to strengthen knowledge regarding transparency and the right to access public information among the university community, specifically targeting students at Universidad Anáhuac Puebla.
Key activities included a presentation titled ‘From the Transparent State to the Intelligent State: Challenges of Institutional Openness’ by Jaime Abraham Cerdio Moisés of Nexus Analítica. The event also recognized participants of the ‘Maratón Derecho a Saber’ (Right to Know Marathon).
During his address, Chedraui emphasized the administration's commitment to citizen participation and an ‘Open Municipality’ model, encouraging youth to voice concerns and monitor municipal transparency. Laura García González, coordinator of Transparency and Open Municipality, and Zaira González, Secretary of Women, also highlighted the importance of providing tools to empower youth through government transparency.
