Pepe Gómez Sandes debuts thriller set on the Camino

Author Pepe Gómez Sandes has released his debut suspense novel, ‘Cuando el Camino mata’ (Editorial Seleer). The writing process was prompted by a severe injury in 2021 that forced the author to spend extended periods at home.

During his recovery, Gómez Sandes began sharing reading impressions on social media, which eventually led to his interest in writing. The thriller is set in Villafranca del Bierzo and incorporates elements of the Camino de Santiago, aiming to showcase the local culture and history of the towns along the route.
