Pepe Navarro discusses new documentary and career history

Spanish television presenter Pepe Navarro is featured in the new Movistar Plus+ documentary ‘El otro Chiquito’. The project explores his professional history and past legal disputes involving the late comedian Chiquito de la Calzada.

Navarro, 74, appeared on the program ‘El Hormiguero’ alongside his longtime professional colleague Florentino ‘Flo’ Fernández to discuss the documentary. The film revisits the legal litigation surrounding the program ‘Esta noche cruzamos el Mississippi’, which Navarro created and hosted in the mid-1990s. The dispute involved the character Lucas Grijander, played by Fernández.

In addition to his career milestones, the documentary and recent interviews touch upon Navarro’s upbringing. Born in Palma del Río, Córdoba, Navarro described a childhood marked by frequent moves between Sabadell and France, noting that his time living in France at age 10 significantly impacted his early education.
