Peppe Barra awarded lifetime achievement prize in Aversa

Peppe Barra has been awarded the lifetime achievement award from the City of Aversa as part of the 22nd Bianca d’Aponte Prize. The event is scheduled to take place at the Teatro Cimarosa on October 23 and 24, 2026.

Barra, a Roman-born artist from a Neapolitan family, is recognized for a prestigious career that includes significant work with Roberto De Simone and the Nuova Compagnia di Canto Popolare. Marina Rei will serve as the godmother for the event.

The core of the manifestation remains a competition for female singer-songwriters, featuring ten selected artists representing various styles including rock, folk, and electronic music. The finalists were chosen from hundreds of applicants by a committee of industry professionals.
