PepsiCo opens new distribution center in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala

PepsiCo Alimentos inaugurated a modern distribution center in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, on 22 July 2026. The facility consolidates storage, distribution and commercial operations under one roof, featuring more than 7,000 storage positions, ten loading bays and advanced logistics technologies such as voice‑assisted order picking, digitalized inventory management and electric lithium‑battery forklifts.

The new center is intended to strengthen PepsiCo’s supply chain in western Guatemala, a strategically important region for the company. It will support local potato producers who supply Lay’s chips for the Central American market, create around 180 jobs and improve service to customers and consumers throughout the area.
