PepsiCo Türkiye expands water conservation project to Tekirdağ
PepsiCo Türkiye is expanding its 'Bir Damla Bir Dünya' (One Drop, One World) project to protect water resources as part of its 'Net Water Positive' vision. Following implementations in the Tarsus Berdan basin in 2023, and Manisa, Izmir, and Adana in 2024 and 2025, the project is scheduled to move to Tekirdağ in 2026. This upcoming phase will be conducted in partnership with the Önder Çiftçi Production and Marketing Cooperative to protect the Meriç-Ergene Basin.
In 2025, the initiative successfully returned approximately 1.14 million m³ of water to nature across its operational basins. Specifically, the company returned 100% of its operational water use in Tarsus and Izmir, 98% in Manisa, and 52% in Adana. PepsiCo Türkiye General Manager Ergün Günay emphasized that water management is a central pillar of the company's sustainability strategy, focusing on reducing usage, recovering water, and increasing access to clean water.
