Pequiven launches national deployment to secure urea supply for Venezuelan farmers

Pequiven, Venezuela’s state-owned petrochemical company, has launched a national territorial deployment to assess the needs of the productive sector and ensure the timely supply of agricultural inputs, specifically urea. The initiative began in the state of Portuguesa, a key region for national cereal production.

Led by Héctor Resplandor, General Director of the Commercial Division, the company held strategic meetings and dialogue tables with various agricultural producer associations. These sessions aimed to listen to local concerns and optimize distribution channels to support the agro-food sector.

The deployment follows directives from Pequiven’s presidency, led by José David Cabello Rondón, to prepare logistics for the upcoming North-Summer planting cycle. The plan involves continuous tours across different agricultural regions in Venezuela to strengthen coordination with field workers and ensure efficient delivery of fertilizers to production units.
