Perak flood victims remain in four evacuation centers

As of this morning, 407 flood victims from 147 families remain in four temporary evacuation centers (PPS) across the Larut, Matang, and Selama districts in Perak. The number of evacuees has remained stable since 4:00 AM.

The distribution of evacuees is as follows:

• SK Changkat Ibol: 181 people (57 families) from Kampung Changkat Ibol. • Al-Wusta Batu 8 Mosque Hall: 130 people (57 families) from Kampung Batu 9. • SK Matang Gelugor: 79 people (24 families) from the Matang area. • Dewan Perdana Trong: 17 people (9 families) from the Trong area.

Additionally, 56 storm victims from 21 families remain at the SK Matang evacuation center, where they have been staying since October 14. In related developments, the Slim River in Muallim has exceeded danger levels, recording a reading of 26.85 meters at 7:15 AM, which is 1.45 meters above the danger threshold of 25.40 meters.
