Perak Police solve nine vandalism cases involving three youths

Perak Police have resolved nine cases of vandalism, including arson and paint splashing, following the arrest of three 19-year-old men in Penang. The suspects, two of whom are college students and one a storekeeper, were apprehended during separate raids in Tanjong Bungah, Bukit Mertajam, and Machang Bubok on October 22.

Investigations revealed the group traveled across states, from Penang to Johor, to carry out the acts. They reportedly received payments ranging from RM500 to RM1,000 per task from an unidentified individual via WhatsApp. The vandalism incidents spanned five states: two in Perak, three in Kedah, two in Johor, one in Penang, and one in Selangor.

Police seized three cars—a Proton X70, a Nissan Teana, and a Honda City—along with mobile phones and clothing believed to have been used during the crimes. The suspects have no prior criminal records. The cases are being investigated under Sections 427 and 435 of the Penal Code.
